Nostalgia Mechanica

Nostalgia Mechanica is a light sculpture that evokes the colour and child-like wonder of dreams. Viewers are invited to take a careful look inside the mirror and search for objects that spark childhood memories, or perhaps engage in a spontaneous game of "I Spy"! Using a two-way mirror and dynamic light effects, the work transforms into a shimmering portal that invites reflection on nostalgia, memory, and the playful act of discovery.

The Treehouse Collective is a group of interdisciplinary friends who love to tinker, build and dream big. We work together to create playful installations with a focus on light. Our practice centers around creating colourful, accessible experiences that spark curiosity and encourage play in people of all ages. Drawing from our backgrounds in coding, engineering, and fine arts, we use technology to bring installations to life.
