Lux Array is an interactive installation that depicts surrealistic, minimal designs in moving light and ambient sound. Using a series of equally-spaced squares, each rotating slightly askew from the preceding and next in the series, the design displays an intriguing parallax effect. The minimalist and abstract nature of the project leaves abundant room for the viewer's own imagination to alight with new connections, providing the backdrop for your daydream and a portal to the subconscious.
Participants wishing to go deeper may approach the installation and discover that movement towards the front of the installation triggers particular patterns in the lighting by way of a motion sensor embedded in the first square. This moment realization is like testing a lightswitch in a lucid dream; a reminder of the control you exert on your own circumstances–something we so often forget.
Lux Array, with its parallax lighting effect and ambient soundtrack, creates a dreamscape environment through which participants can become aware of and explore their own perception.
