Lights of Destiny

Lights of Destiny is an immersive art installation featuring twelve handcrafted fabric lanterns, each representing a Chinese Zodiac animal. Blending traditional symbolism with contemporary design, the lanterns glow with vivid colours, expressive patterns, and modern lighting.

Inspired by the richness of the Chinese Zodiac, the work uses colour, form, and movement to reflect the unique traits of each sign. Crafted from hand-painted fabric, the lanterns celebrate cultural heritage in a vibrant, interactive way.

Designed for all ages, Lights of Destiny invites viewers to explore their zodiac signs, spark curiosity, and connect through art—a joyful, modern tribute to timeless tradition.

About the Artist:

Aoe Girard is a multidisciplinary artist, illustrator, and designer known for her joyful, nature-inspired work that connects people and communities. She works across traditional and digital media, creating illustrations, murals, and installation art that have been featured in books, galleries, public spaces, and festivals.
