CALLING ALL ALIEN CYBORGS

**CALLING ALL ALIEN CYBORGS for a ONE-NIGHT disco event in CYBER*SPACE*! (Aka uptown Waterloo). This is an interactive single-channel video installation that will take you out of this world and send you soaring through the galaxies amongst other alien cyborgs and the like. There will be disco balls, music, and a large-scale projection featuring a live video feed to cyberspace. Dressing up is encouraged but not mandatory. Listen to the soundtrack of the evening.

About the Artist:

Emma Ongman is a queer multidisciplinary artist and musician who often makes work by collaborating with her computer. Through manipulating video and sound, Ongman is interested in the evolution of technology and its influence on the human experience. She embraces tech accidents, the interconnection between science and art, as well as the ongoing relationship between humans and their inventions. Ongman has shown her work in Canada, the United States, France, and Greece. She holds an Honours BA degree in Studio Art with Distinction from the School of Fine Art and Music at the University of Guelph. Currently, Emma is based in Montréal, Quebec or Toronto, Ontario.... depending on the time of year.
